College to Congress's innovative program is changing Congress by diversifying its pipeline of potential staff. C2c continues to provide a free, self-paced, online training for individuals seeking capitol hill internships that provides professional development training, workshops, and 1:1 assistance. This training includes financial literacy, networking, interviewing, resume writing, etc skill building. Additionally,we provide housing, transportation, meal stipends, professional wardrobe stipends, and congressional internship placement for low-income interns on capitol hill. Through these means, College to Congress positions these interns to break the cycle of poverty by filling in gaps in experience they would not be privy to because of their socioeconomic backgrounds. Programming to develop, enrich, andprovide career pathways for our students is the heart of c2c and thus requires asignificant amount of c2c staff time.
