The organization was created in response to the mass shooting at marjory stoneman douglas high school in Parkland,Florida to address the immediate and long term mental health needs of the surviving students, teachers and their families as well as the entire Parkland community. The organization has established fundraising and outreach efforts to the community to better achieve its mission and goals of providing assistance, relief and help to the Parkland community. The organization has solicited from individuals, corporation and foundations donations to help increase its funding to provide this valuable & necessary service to the Parkland community. The organization provides funding pursuant to a detailed application process. Funds are distributed only to tax exempt social service organizations to provide counseling and mental health services to the members of the south Florida community in need of such services. These social service organizations are all mental health counseling organizations that have been in the south Florida community for many years and employ licensed mental health care professionals to treat members of the community in need of their services.
