HACKPGH is the Pittsburgh's oldest makerspace. We provide tools, training, and a safe location for members of the local community to learn hands-on skills and pursue creative projects. HACKPGH is dedicated to building a better future by welcoming people from all walks of life to the Maker Movement through collaboration, education, and outreach. HACKPGH has many open classes and clubs centered around skills such as crafting/sewing, wood & metalworking, welding, laser-crafting, CNC routing, 3D printing, electronics, computers, graphics, an more. HACKPGH is run entirely by volunteers. We are proud of our many outreach programs, past and present. From our free vaccination clinics to building equipment for food pantries to providing scholarships for those in financial need or residing in homeless/domestic abuse shelters, Hack tries to never turn away those who wish to join solely based on inability to pay! Basic training for members on nearly all our equipment is free.
