The foundation shall have as its specified principal purpose (a) providing financial, advisory and other support and assistance to programs and/or initiatives of accredited law schools, with a special but non-exclusive focus on law schools that are owned by (or operated under the auspices and control of) an historically black college or university (an "hbcu"), which programs and/or initiatives are focused on (I) improving the Quality and integrity of protection of intellectual property rights under applicable Patent laws and (ii) teaching and equipping students at such law schools with practical skills that enhance their prospects for successful careers in the area of Patent or other intellectual property law, (b) allocating donor resources contributed to the foundation in the most effective manner to advance the foregoing and (c) providing accountability therfore to donors, other supporters and constituencies of the foundation.
