Cleveland Community Cares

The iSMILE Meal Delivery Program (inspiring Smiles, Meals, Interaction, Love and Encouragement) provides weekly, nutritionally balanced meals to seniors in Cleveland County, North Carolina, who are unable to consistently prepare meals for themselves. Many participants are low-income, live alone, and face health, mobility, or transportation challenges that increase their risk of food insecurity and social isolation. In addition to meal preparation and delivery, the program incorporates regular wellness check-ins through volunteer interactions, helping to reduce isolation and support the overall well-being and safety of participating seniors. During the year, the program served 96 seniors through coordinated meal preparation, packaging, and delivery efforts.
