Our mission is to promote and support the cinematic arts and the economy of the City of Monterey by exhibiting art, independent, foreign, alternative, and classic films; to provide educational programs with respect to the art of filmmaking; and to support the arts in the greater Monterey Peninsula area. Our core programming includes daily movie showtimes in our five screen Theater, plus events, cinematic series, and partnerships with other organizations. The Osio Theater brings films that would not ordinarily show in Monterey County. Our educational programming includes several aspects of bringing film and film literacy to our community and includes curriculum for K-12 students, college-aged students, and senior citizens.
