Atlanta Civic Circle directly funds professional journalists and journalism projects and is committed to developing best practices and fair compensation for reporters. We currently have two journalists and three staff members working to advance our two first focus areas. In addition to reporting the issues, jounralists will explore solutions and resources for readers to effect change. Both articles and resources are free for the public and other media outlets to use for educational purposes. Online engagement around articles and resources has created action in our community to help relocated families in need of better affordable housing options; educated first-time voters; and brought leaders from the region around these topics.This year, at Atlanta Civic Circle we added a new focus area to provide additional resources and education around democracy.
