Live Lead Free Quad Cities

Live Lead Free Quad Cities' mission is to protect and oreserve the health of the Quad Cities by preventing lead poisoning through: 1) collaboration: sharing progress and collaborating with other nonprofit organizatioons and local governments in the community. 2) advocacy: seeking funds for the mitigation or abatement of lead. 3) remediation: providing funds for the remediation or abatement of lead in homes to an established partner (or partners) in the area. These partner(s) will handle all aspects of the actual mitigation/abatement, including financing loans or providing grants to individuals for work completted, temporarily re-homing families, and properly supervising all work. 4) education: educating the public and healthcare providers on best practices regarding preventing lead poisoning.
