ACN is a philanthropic, not-for-profit organization with one mission - to improve the lives of orphans in ethiopia throuogh advocacy, education, and the financial support of agencies and individuals fighting the orphan crisis on the ground. An estimated range of 5 Million children live on the streets, in various government and private orphanages or are trapped in trafficking and child labor. ACN developed a very unique and cost effective approach which addresses crisis where we mobalize local professional volunteer mentors to give their skills, time, and energy toward the betterment of the orphans and the vulnerable of their community. The programs run at existing venues owned by local partners and run by local volunteers which is how we manage to keep overhead costs zero to none. On the usa side, the majority of the work is done by volunteers, which again, is how we keep overhead costs to the very minimum.
