Heart of Gold Sanctuary rescues horses that are otherwise facing export for slaughter. Or who are facing euthanasia due to injury, illness or behavioral issues. We work with each horse as an individual to provide shelter, proper diet and nutritional health, veterinary care, and natural horsemanship training. Horses are made available for adoption once they have been evaluated to be healthy and happy. Horses who are not considered adoptable due to injury or behavioral issues, live out their lives in peace here at the Sanctuary, where they are allowed to be he horse that they are.
