In 2024 R&r Pet Sanctuary took in five dogs and two rats. Three of the dogs were special needs animals in shelters and two dogs were owner surrenders. One dog was adopted following sterilization and vaccinations and four dogs became permanent residents of the Sanctuary. The three transfers from shelters resulted in a reduced load for the shelters and the owner surrenders prevented the animals from entering shelters.
