Hattie B Black Women In Progress BWIP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young women from underserved and rural communities through leadership development workforce training and STEM-based programming The organization provides year-round programming including day camps an annual overnight Girls Confidence Camp and internship opportunities for young women ages 1824 Through hands-on learning mentorship and career exposure participants build confidence develop critical life and professional skills and gain access to pathways in education and employment BWIP prioritizes serving Black and Brown girls and those from low-income backgrounds with a focus on closing opportunity gaps and creating long-term economic mobility
