The purpose for which this nonprofit corporation is organized to engage in the solicitation of funds from members, the general public, merchants, civic organizations and for-profit corporations through various fundraising activities which will benefit the young persons served by the Optimist Club of Knoxville in support of the programs which directly affect the lives of young people in the Knoxville, tennessee, area, and for children of every walk of life but with an emphasis on those who are under served in the community or need assistance in providing a better future for young people.
