Kind Hearts for Kids

The purpose of this organization is to provide items and/or gifts to children/teens in need due to living and financial circumstances through fundraising, donations, gifts and other contributions by providing birthday, holiday and goodie bags for children served by dcf offices in hyannis, plymouth and new bedford. The organization is looking into opening a 72-hour foster care entrance house by september of next year. Seventy-two hours refers to the time period during which parents or guardians have a legal right to a hearing on whether their child would be in the foster care. The goal is to provide 24/7 care for youngsters freshly removed from their homes, sometimes in the middle of the night, so they dont have to go through multiple emergency placements or wait in state department of children and family services offices while placements are located.
