Croatian Benevolent Association

The Croatian Benevolent association was formed to serve the needs of a growing number of Croatian immigrants to the New Orleans area. The organization was founded to foster, protect and promote the welfare and interests of its members and their families, primarily through providing burial and medical benefits to its members in need. The Croatian Benevolent association sponsors a college scholarship program to provide partial scholarship benefits to eligible applicants within the local Croatian American community. The Croatian Benevolent association was formerly known as the "United slavonian Benevolent association of New Orleans." their ein number was previously 72-6021942 and was changed to 83-3092669
