Woodpile Foundation Inc

In 2024, the Woodpile foundation opened the preserve to the public. Trails were groomed and signage for hiking was installed throughout the property. Many ornithology groups have visited the preserve and comments received have been very positive and affirming. Adjacent property has been leased, and renovated by Woodpile foundation for use as a long-term education and maintenance facility providing much needed inside space for parking for the tractor and bathroom and shower facilities for visitors and volunteers.acres were planted into prairie by tranquil acres and seed was purchased from prairie nursery, the premier prairie seed provider in the country.ongoing water level maintenance and removal of invasive species is ongoing.
