Legwork for LUNGS hosts annual 5k races and mile walk events in the month of November to raise money for lung cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Members of the organization, college students, adults, and other volunteers, conduct the activity that is annually hosted in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, and potentially in other locations in New Jersey as well. The percentage of my time allocated to the activity is 40 percent for gathering sponsors, 30 percent for conducting the 5k event itself (including prepping before the event), 20 percent for working on graphics for social media and websites, and 10 percent for discussing plans and feedback with our team. The activity is funded by donations from local businesses that sponsor us and the general public. Our activity is solely for charitable purposes as we are an organization that supports another public charity (Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center)
