Urban Student Athlete Development Academy

Established in 2019 and headquartered in San Francisco, CA, Urban Student Athlete Development Academy is a 501 (c)(3)) Not for Profit Corporation sports based youth Development program for boys and girls ages 8-17. The consequences of trauma can be long-term and complex and the earlier in life the trauma occurs, the more devastating the consequences. Research has uncovered the therapeutic value of sports associated with physical health, mental health and overall wellness. Urban youth involved in sports can have positive psychological and social influences and can decrease the likelihood of delinquent behaviors and substance use. Urban Student Athlete Development Academy's mission is to empower socially and economically disadvantaged youth, by providing access to academic, athletic, and community support services. Our culturally responsive curriculum connects with our students familiarity and passion for sports, to help them develop healthier academic and social habits.
