Mission I - The preservation and restoration of the Historic Meigs Theatre, its rural character, heritage and the orderly growth and development of the Town of Decatur, and County of Meigs, Tennessee. Mission II - To promote the visual, literary, and performing arts through awareness, participation, education, via recorded, virtual and live events. The Foundation will work towards the attainment of these objectives through educational programs and publications, through research into the Theatre's history, acquisition of materials pertaining to all aspects of its history and will cooperate with historical societies and other agencies promoting compatible.
