Staar exists to advocate for and raise funds for research specifically on the low-grade serous carcinoma sub-typle of Ovarian Cancer in the United States. We drive awareness of the symptobs of Ovarian Cancer and the under-funding of research for the lgsc sub-type. We strengthen our connections with researchers to understand research needs, funding needs, and historically raised enough funds through donations to give three research grants for lgsoc.
