To strengthen the local food system by supporting New Mexico's agricultural producers and creating strong networks for a healthier state. This involves educating the public about eating healthy, locally grown and produced food; engaging low-income and limited-resource individuals and families in creating healthy eating habits; promoting nurition access programs at Farmers' markets and other retail outlets; providing Marketing support to Farmers, ranchers, market managers, value chain coordinators, and other stakeholders who work within the local food system throughout New Mexico. The NMFMA also provides wide-ranging technical assistance to Farmers, ranchers, and food producers who sell their locally grown products through the "New Mexico grown" farm-to-institution state procurement programs, to food is medicine health clinic programs, and to other value-driven markets that strive to support local agricuture and regenerative agricultural practices, including those that serve rural and t
