Sudden Losses Inc. is headquartered in Washington, DC, and Los Angeles. We maintain a nationwide database of donated gravesites, which we gift to families who need assistance burying their loved ones. We do not have "funds" to provide "financial assistance" ... But we can often transfer ownership of a plot (at a selected cemetery) for a grieving family who is in need. While providing a plot will save each family several thousand dollars ... It does not eliminate all costs associated with burial. Our gravesite inventory changes constantly. Although we do our best to offer families a desired cemetery location -- it is not always available at the time of need. We rely entirely upon individuals (and other foundations) in various communities to donate gravesites to us, and continuously replenish our inventory. Anyone donating a plot receives a receipt for the Fair Market Value of the plot. SL gives counseling to families about the processes of interacting with funeral homes and cemeteries.
