Afba conducts research, sponsors educational activities and events, and disseminates information to promote the general public's understanding of ways to maintain and improve Arkansas's common good, quality of life, and social welfare, including but not limited to: I. Educating the public on issues of pressing public concern, such as ways to exercise and protect the right to vote, free and fair elections, engagement in the civic process, access to affordable healthcare, affordable housing, economic development, environmental protection, public education, voter and worker rights, racial justice, taxes, tax structure, and immigration policy; and ii. Developing and advocating for legislation, regulations, and government programs to improve public education, voter rights, housing, the environment, and stimulating the economy; and iii. Conducting research and publicizing the positions of elected officials to the general public concerning these issues.
