Door County Summer Horizons Foundation Inc

Door County Summer Horizons (dchs) is a youth Summer employment program in milwaukee, Wisconsin for teens from disadvantaged neighborhoods. Dchs overcomes the structural impediments to working in Door County by providing transportation, housing, meals, supervision, coaching/mentoring and access to Summer jobs. Summer and part time jobs are foundational to young people's development into responsible and productive adults. In addition to great Summer work, dcsh will provide enrichment in the form of hikes, bike rides, theater, art, music, fishing, boating and more. Additionally, the dcsh supervisors and mentors will conduct reading and writing workshops and a course in financial literacy.
