The Bomazeen Land trust enables direct descendants of the abenaki/wabanaki people to renew and resume their caretaking and stewardship roles for lands and waters with historical, spiritual, and ecological significance to the abenaki/wabanaki people. The Bomazeen Land trust acquired 200+/- acres of land in greene and starks, me in 2023, expanding some of the organization's protected lands as well as starting new land projects. The organization also hosted several events connecting the abenaki/wabanaki people to the lands through land-based knowledge celebrations, workshops, and programs.
