The Emile Norman Arts Foundation shines a light on the cultural influence of Big Sur through the lens of American artist Emile Normans work and philosophy. We host exhibitions concerts and gatherings at Emiles handcrafted mid-century Big Sur home and throughout Northern California. We preserve document and learn from his inventive way of life on this rugged yet fragile stretch of coast at the very edge of the continent. We invite artists musicians and writers to reside in Emiles home and like the baroque pipe organ drawing air from the surroundings up through the bellows at its centerto breathe create and express through transformative connection with the place and its elements.
