World at Hand

World at Hand is a charitable and educational nonprofit organization whose mission is to support low-income and historically underrepresented students in accessing cross-cultural and global educational experiences that foster long-term personal, academic, and professional growth. The organization advances its exempt purpose through the Global Scholars Pathway, which provides structured access to international education through informational sessions, preparatory coursework, passport assistance, study abroad scholarships, and post-experience leadership and professional development programming. In 2024, World at Hand received the Institute of International Education Empower Award in recognition of its access-focused programming. The organization also develops the Rural-Urban Exchange, a Colorado-based cross-community leadership and service initiative for high school students, and hosts Community College Virtual Study Abroad Fairs to expand access points for community college students.
