Sexuality and Gender Alliance of Actuaries Inc

The actuarial profession is a small, niche professional stem field that has been grappling with diversity & inclusion challenges for many years. The actuarial field lags behind many industries and nearly all other stem fields in membership diversity. Many actions are being taken within actuarial organizations to try to address these issues. There has been much focus given to increasing black and latinx representation, but there has not been adequate discussion and action taken to help the lgbtq+ community in our profession. Sagaa seeks to help lgbtq+ Actuaries to thrive in their careers. By providing educational opportunities for Actuaries to learn about challenges lgbtq+ people face, we seek to achieve broader inclusion and acceptance within actuarial workplaces.
