Southern company GAS Fueling Hope fund, inc. (the fund) is formed to assist employees of Southern company gas and dependent family members who have experienced financial hardship as a direct result of a catastrophic event or major medical illness. Eligible recipients may apply for up to $5,000 in financial assistance. Examples of assistance-eligible events include, but are not limited to, fire, natural disasters such as hurricanes, tornado, earthquake and flood, cancer, serious health issues and a vehicle accident with serious injuries. Officers and directors of Southern company gas are not eligible for assistance.
