Studies are conducted to determine the safety and therapeutic effectiveness of specific drugs and/or radiation therapy in Cancer patients. The Research obtained from these studies led to the approval of new therapies, developed new standards of care and also the publication of the information. This combination of events has greatly contributed to the knowledge base of the scientific community and also the fight against Cancer.
