To field and equip 300 new ranger recruits in tsavo. These are the first new rangers hired and fielded in 7 years. Funds were used to purchase 20 toyota landcruisers which were retrofitted for anti-poaching work, one transporter truck and tents, bedrolls and other equipment needed to combat rising poaching in tsavo. We carried out this work in collaboration with our long term conservation partner in kenya, the david sheldrick wildlife trust.
