Community Center for Immigrants facilitates integration and fosters self-sufficiency in the immigrant Community by providing English and Citizenship education programs and immigration legal services. Our goal is to develop the literacy and civic knowledge required to obtain U.S. Citizenship and actively participate in American society. CCIs education program focuses on adult education as an essential component of the integration process. Our courses build linguistic confidence encourage the use of English outside the classroom and prepare students for the naturalization exam. In 2022 CCI became Department of Justice-certified to provide immigration legal services. For example we draft and submit documentation for green cards and citizenship prepare clients for the naturalization test and accompany students to their citizenship interviews. Over the last year we have served over 900 Immigrants 272 received green card approvals and 100 of achieved US citizenship.
