As our world becomes increasingly interconnected and we experience an era of unprecedented world challenges, underserved communities need help overcoming steep barriers to enriching learning opportunities such as international educational travel. Many cannot afford travel costs, unpaid internships, or passport and visa expenses. These disparities reinforce inequities in professional networks, workforce preparedness, and cross-cultural fluency. Without intervention, inequitable access to global exposure perpetuates cycles of limited opportunity. Getaway GROWTH addresses this gap by providing fully funded, structured, and ethically designed global immersion programs for youth ages 15-24 from historically under-resourced communities.
