Friends of children of Zimbabwe society, inc. is an independent charitable entity incorporated in Virginia and whose principal activities are: 1) to raise public awareness in the United States of the chronic shortage of resources to support basic, secondary and tertiary levels of education, health and welfare of Orphans and vulnerable children in and around harare, Zimbabwe; and 2) to raise funds in the United States to support the above-described and ongoing charitable and educational efforts of the Zimbabwe AIDS Orphans society, a registered charitable organization in finland and recognized in the uk as an approved charitable organization, which works pursuant to a memorandum of understanding and agreement of cooperation with the dzikwa trust fund, a charitable private trust fund established in Zimbabwe to provide resources for the basic education, health and welfare and the social, psychological and spiritual needs of Orphans and vulnerable children in and around harare, Zimbabwe
