African American Charter School Coalition

The African American Charter School Coalition's (AACSC's) mission is centered in addressing and reversing the discrimination and many inequities that exist between white and black led schools in Philadelphia when it comes to renewal, expansions, philanthropic funding, resources, and support. AACSC's education reform focus is anchored in the belief that black-led and founded Charter schools in Philadelphia are foundational to the permanent fabric of our public education society. Our black schools matter mission embodies our forceful and unrelenting commitment to advance the need for equitable educational choices and funding opportunities in the African American communities we serve. We achieve this by vigorously promoting and addressing matters of diversity, equity and inclusiveness in educational funding, policies and practices.
