To promote and facilitate communication among Sheriffs, their deputies, other peace officers and citizens interested in the enforcement of the laws of the state of utah; and to improve the quality of law enforcement in the state of utah; and to promote public awareness of issues affecting law enforcement; and to support legislation that would increase the effectiveness of law enforcement; and to assist county governments in the efficient use of the merit system; and to cooperate with similar police associations throughout utah and the United States.
