The organization represents commercial pole and troll vessels. Members have a common business interest whereby they affirm that the commercial tuna industry be converted to more selective and environmentally sensitive methods of Fishing.Each member agrees that all tuna or Albacore caught or otherwise acquired by the member in the Pacific ocean waters, utilizing a vessel duly enrolled in the corporation shall be sold, marketed and distributed through the corporation in accordance with he rules.AAFA also supports education regarding responsible methods and promotes the health benefits of tuna consumption along with the environmental benefits of sustainable fishery practices.
