Providing of legal representation to indigent adult individuals charged with the commission of acts against society punishable as crimes occuring in Northeast lower Michigan, including alpena, oscoda and montmorency counties, and assisting those counties in fulfilling their responsibilities as set forth in the compliance plan for each county approved by the indigent defense commission, as amended from time to time.
