The black stallion reading project is a cooperative effort between the Ocala Horse Alliance (oha) and marion county public schools which promotes literacy for 4th graders. The fourth grader receives a copy of the black stallion book and the opportunity to experience a Horse up close and personal. It is currently a 3 and a half week classroom program in all 32 elementary schools.
