Homeahead

Homeahead collects donated furniture and household goods and distributes them to individuals and families lacking basic furnishings. Items include beds dressers tables seating and kitchen essentials enabling households moving into housing to create safe functional living spaces. The program serves people transitioning out of homelessness survivors of domestic violence veterans and low-income households experiencing furniture poverty often including children. Referrals typically come from social service agencies with some eligible self-referrals. Annually Homeahead assists about 200 households supporting housing stability by providing essential items many cannot afford. The program also reduces landfill waste by reusing donated furniture.
