STARS and Stripes DOG Rescue

Our organization saves dogs from euthanasia in shelters enrolls them in our Obedience Training Program and upon passing the Good Canine Citizen Test offers them to local veterans as Companion Pets. The select few with suitable temperaments undergo Service Dog Training and are then partnered with local veterans at zero cost. Additionally we offer veterinary assistance to veterans who require support in caring for their canine companions but lack the financial means to do so. We introduced a Battle Buddies Program for Veterans who own a dog. Program encourages bonding and wellness exercises to help with PTSD. We are also working to start a Prison Dog Training Program where our dogs will be trained by the inmates and then donated to Veterans as Companion Emotional Support PTSD Service dogs.
