Columbia SC Local Chapter of Democratic Socialists of America

The Columbia, South Carolina Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is a member-driven social welfare organization operating under Section 501(c)(4). The organization promotes the common good and general welfare of the Columbia, SC community through civic engagement, public education, and issue-based advocacy. Its work focuses on expanding public understanding of Local economic and social issues, including housing affordability, workers' rights, healthcare access, environmental sustainability, and equitable Local governance. The organization conducts educational meetings, public forums, and community outreach to increase civic participation and inform residents about policies affecting their daily lives. It also engages in coalition-building and supports nonpartisan efforts to address community needs. All activities are conducted to promote social welfare and improve quality of life for residents of South Carolina in a nonpartisan and educational manner.
