Firm Foundations of Hope is committed to spiritual revival and neighborhood revitalization. Through Jesus Christ our Redeemer, we seek person-by-person transformation of residents by making known the fullness of life to which Jesus Christ invites us, by providing employment and mentoring to unemployed persons, and by doing home repairs for the poor. Our transitional work program trains and mentors previously unemployed persons in Detroit to prepare them for full-time employment, especially for those seeking work in the skilled trades. We hire applicants for part-time work and they learn while working on the crew with us, also earning money to meet immediate needs. Our home repair program allows low-income Detroit residents to get needed home repairs done for low or no cost. The work is done by skilled project leaders who are assisted by workers in our transitional work program. We further provide hope and purpose to our neighbors through our offerings for spiritual growth.
