Education Justice Academy EJA creates high quality school board governance leadership by recruiting local leaders and preparing them to lead school systemsOur participants are trained in policy budgeting shared governance and community organizing through facilitated seminars coaching retreats and peer learning We recruit train and support outstanding school board leaders who reflect the diversity of their community and who create sustainable equitable change Current and potential board members and community leaders working at the district level are all encouraged to apply - we strive to have a mixed cohort to facilitate the peer learning School Board members today face increasingly complex interwoven social and environmental challenges Despite a large portfolio of responsibilities California has no required training EJA trains leaders who reflect their communities to exemplify strong dimensions of school board leadership and make an impact in their district
