The Turtle Mountain Recovery Center Foundation ("Foundation") was organized in an effort to enable its supported public charitable organization, Turtle Mountain Recovery Center ("TMRC"), a tribally chartered nonprofit corporation, to better accomplish its charitable mission of providing substance abuse treatment and related services and programs to the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians community. The Foundation will obtain financing for the construction of the Recovery Center facility ("Facility") and manage the construction loan. Financing will be obtained in an arranged structure under the federal New Market Tax Credit Program ("NMTC Program"). The NMTC Program provides tax credits to individuals or corporations who invest in job creation or material improvements in low-income communities. The Foundation will be conducting this activity exclusively for TMRC, its designated publicly supported charitable organization. As a supporting charitable organization.
