The Colorado Safety NET Collaborative (CSNC) initiated work in 2019 on behalf of community-based clinics that serve predominantly people who are uninsured, underinsured or use Medicaid and are not federally qualified health centers nor rural health centers. The purpose of the work is to provide technical assistance for community-based clinics as well as advocate for the people they serve. While the work began, one of the member clinics served as a fiscal sponsor for the organization. After 5 years of operation and an understanding that the effort was sustainable through membership dues and grants, CSNC became an independent entity on may 16, 2022 and separated from the member clinic july 1, 2023.
