Somos Emprendedores

Somos Emprendedores is a unique economic development project dedicated to supporting urban and rural micro-businesses in the bello and marinilla districts of antioquia, colombia. The program is focused on women-owned businesses as an especially challenged and vulnerable population. The Somos Emprendedores project consists of an intensive 10 month entrepreneurship training program teaching participants how to develop, manage and improve their micro-businesses, including business management skills; product development; sales and marketing; distribution; vendor management; packaging and trademarks; cash flow, finance and accounting principles; human resources; legal registrations; and business networking. As part of the program, Somos Emprendedores offers workshops on gender-based inequality, work-life balance, and enhancing the well-being of the participants families and improving their daily lives.
