To unite in one organization, regardless of religion, race, creed, color, gender, sexual orientation, political affiliation or nationality, all workers within its jurisdiction, to maintain and improve wages, hours and working conditions for its members, to educate the membership of the history of the American labor movement and present day labor problems and tactics, to secure legislation in the interests of labor and to oppose anti-labor legislation.
