We provide home goods and furniture to newcomer families in the Portland, or region. Often new families to America have stable housing and even a car, but rarely have needed beds, furniture, and general household goods. We are alerted about families through the beaverton school district's newcomer program, then we help deliver items directly to the families. We generally curate donated goods but also need to purchase goods. We rent a storage location that also allows families to "shop" for their goods since many of them have needs we cannot predict. Most of our families are from the Southern border, the Caribbean, and Western Africa.
