Nebraska Afghan Community Center

The Nebraska Afghan Community Center (NACC) was established to provide assistance to Afghan families throughout Nebraska following the Afghan government's fall in August 2021. Nebraska Afghan Community Center (NACC) operates under five Community initiatives. Each initiative has volunteers to deliver corresponding services and tasks. These initiatives include: Healthy Community (e.g., help with medical appointments, health education), Community Integration (e.g., Community events), Community Self-Sufficiency (e.g., training for personal or public transportation in NE), Community Education (e.g., youth mentoring, cultural competencies, onsite or offsite ESL class or classes), and Capacity Building and Fundraising (e.g., donation collection and distribution, growing NACC's operations).
